At Dasera, we’re always on the search to hire the best talent. With that said, we’re excited to welcome David McCaw to the team as our new VP of Sales! In this role, David is responsible for overseeing global sales and channel programs.

After 23 years of experience in the tech industry, from managing strategic accounts, leading go-to-market, and accelerating the sales funnel, David’s enthusiasm and passion for solving problems that no other security company has has only gotten stronger. He’s ready to roll up his sleeves, get his hands dirty, and help shape Dasera into the next great security company.

If you're not constantly improving, you're falling behind. Data security in the cloud requires a new approach and needs to be holistically integrated into day to day operations instead of being an afterthought.”
Prior to Dasera, David held senior sales positions at multiple successful early stage startups, including ParaSoft, Coverity, Contrast Security, and RedLock. As the first field facing employee at RedLock, David generated the majority of the revenue for 7 consecutive quarters -- culminating in the successful acquisition by Palo Alto Networks for $175 million after just 18 months.
Outside of work, David is a father, an avid poker player, and a world traveler. When he’s not spending time with his young daughters, you can catch him in his element at a high stakes poker table or planning an amazing trip to experience the different cultures the world has to offer.
With David on board, those early 8 a.m. meetings are now kick-started with motivational music videos to keep the energy levels high, and David’s golden-doodle, Lady Bug, becomes quite the center of attention during our Zoom calls.
Moving forward, David’s ambition for Dasera is to solve real world customer problems while building a world class company culture. Immediate goals are recruiting channel partners, building out our sales team, and securing customer deals, while still finding time to spend with his two adorable daughters.
