2023 Women in Security Forum Power 100 Winner

Hearing about women breaking barriers and achieving great things in traditionally male-dominated industries is always exciting. And that's exactly what we're celebrating today as the Security Industry Association (SIA) unveils its 2023 Women in Security Forum Power 100 honorees.

These incredible women are role models, leaders, innovators, and influencers actively advancing diversity, inclusion, innovation, and leadership in the security industry. And among this year's honorees is April Slayden Mitchell, VP of Engineering at Dasera.

April Slayden Mitchell has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in her role at Dasera, and her work is paving the way for a more inclusive and diversified industry. She inspires all security professionals, and her achievement is a testament to the transformative power of hard work, dedication, and a commitment to excellence.

The SIA Women in Security Forum Power 100 is an initiative that honors 100 women in the security industry each year for their outstanding achievements and contributions. And for the second year in a row, Security Systems News is the media partner and sponsor for this initiative.

As Kasia Hanson, Chair of the SIA Women in Security Forum, notes, "These dynamic, talented honorees are making waves in the security industry and are constantly exhibiting leadership, motivating others, and driving progress in the security industry." And we couldn't agree more.

These women are truly making their mark in what has historically been a male-dominated and non-diverse industry. And as Cory Harris, Editor of Security Systems News, says, "Congratulations to all the winners, and we look forward to honoring their achievements during the WISF Power 100 Breakfast at ISC West!"

The Power 100 announcement comes on March 8, International Women's Day, a global day celebrating women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements and presenting a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
